1 Chronicles
Chapter 14
1 Hiram, king of Tyre, sent envoys to David along with masons and carpenters, and cedar wood to build him a house.
提洛王希兰派使臣来见达味，给他送来香柏木，派来石匠和木工，为他建筑宫室。
2 David now understood that the LORD had truly confirmed him as king over Israel, for his kingdom was greatly exalted for the sake of his people Israel.
那时，达味知道上主已确定他为以色列王，并为了自己的百姓以色列，提高了他的王位。
3 David took other wives in Jerusalem and became the father of more sons and daughters.
达味在耶路撒冷又娶了妻室，生了许多子女。
4 These are the names of those who were born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,
达味在耶路撒冷所生儿子的名字如下：沙慕亚、芍巴布、纳堂、撒罗满、
5 Ibhar, Elishua, Elpelet,
依贝哈尔、厄里叔亚、厄里培肋特、
6 Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia,
诺加、乃费格、雅非亚、
7 Elishama, Beeliada, and Eliphelet.
厄里沙玛、贝里雅达和厄里培肋特。
8 When the Philistines had heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, they went up in unison to seek him out. But when David heard of this, he marched out against them.
培肋舍特人听说达味受傅，为全以色列王，擞诩上来向达味寻衅。达味听说，便出来迎击。
9 Meanwhile the Philistines had come and raided the valley of Rephaim.
培肋舍特人上来侵入了勒法因平原。
10 David inquired of God, ＂Shall I advance against the Philistines, and will you deliver them into my power?＂ The LORD answered him, ＂Advance, for I will deliver them into your power.＂
那时，达味求问天主说：＂我可以上去攻打培肋舍特人吗？你将他们交在我手中吗？＂上主答应他说：＂你上去，我必将他们交在你手中。＂
11 They advanced, therefore, to Baal-perazim, and David defeated them there. Then David said, ＂God has used me to break through my enemies just as water breaks through a dam.＂ Therefore that place was called Baal-perazim.
达味于是上到巴耳培辣亲，在那里击败了他们。达味因此说：＂天主假我的手使我的敌人崩溃，如水破堤。＂因此后人称这地方为巴耳培辣亲。
12 The Philistines had left their gods there, and David ordered them to be burnt.
培肋舍特人把自己的神像都遗弃在那里，达味命人用火烧毁。
13 Once again the Philistines raided the valley,
培肋舍特人又侵入平原。
14 and again David inquired of God. But God answered him: ＂Do not try to pursue them, but go around them and come upon them from the direction of the mastic trees.
达味又求问天主，天主对他说：＂不要一直上去追击他们，要绕到他们后方，从桑林那边抄他们的后路。
15 When you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mastic trees, then go forth to battle, for God has already gone before you to strike the army of the Philistines.＂
你一听见桑树梢上有脚步声，要即刻出战，因为天主在你前面出击培肋舍特人的军队。＂
16 David did as God commanded him, and they routed the Philistine army from Gibeon to Gezer.
达味就照天主所命的行了，击杀培肋舍特人的军队，由基贝红直到革则尔。
17 Thus David's fame was spread abroad through every land, and the LORD made all the nations fear him.
因此，达味的声名传遍了各地，上主使各民族都害怕他。
