1上主訓示梅瑟說： 1And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2「看，從猶大支派，我已召叫了胡爾的孫子，烏黎的兒子貝匝肋耳來， 2Behold, I have called by name Beseleel the son of Uri the son of Hur of the tribe of Juda,
3以天主的神充滿了他，叫他有智慧、技能和知識，能製造各種工程， 3And I have filled him with the spirit of God, with wisdom and understanding, and knowledge in all manner of work.
4能設計圖案，能用金、銀、銅製造器物， 4To devise whatsoever may be artificially made of gold, and silver, and brass,
5能雕刻寶石，鑲嵌，雕刻木頭，製造各種工程。 5Of marble, and precious stones, and variety of wood.
6我又使丹支派阿希撒瑪客的兒子敖曷里雅布與他合作；也把智慧賜給一切有藝術技能的人，好完成我吩咐你的一切： 6And I have given him for his companion Ooliab the son of Achisamech of the tribe of Dan. And I have put wisdom in the heart of every skillful man, that they may make all things which I have commanded thee,
7會幕、約櫃和上面的贖罪蓋及屬於會幕的一切用具， 7The tabernacle of the covenant, and the ark of the testimony, and the propitiatory that is over it, and all the vessels of the tabernacle,
8供桌和桌上的一切器物，純金的燈台和燈台的一切器物和香壇， 8And the table and the vessels thereof, the most pure candlestick with the vessels thereof, and the altars of incense,
9全燔祭壇和一切器物，盆和盆座， 9And of holocaust, and all their vessels, the laver with its foot,
10行禮的衣服，亞郎大司祭的聖衣和他兒子們行祭的服裝， 10The holy vestments in the ministry for Aaron the priest, and for his sons, that they may execute their office about the sacred things:
11傅禮用的油和為聖所焚的香。他們應全照我吩咐你的去作。」 11The oil of unction, and the incense of spices in the sanctuary, all things which I have commanded thee, shall they make.
12上主訓示梅瑟說： 12And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
13「你要吩咐以色列子民說：你們務要守我的安息日，這是我與你們之間世世代代的記號，使你們知道，我是祝聖你們的上主。 13Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: See that thou keep my sabbath: because it is a sign between me and you in your generations: that you may know that I am the Lord, who sanctify you.
14所以你們應守安息日，因為這日為你們是聖日，那褻瀆這聖日的，應受死刑；凡在這日工作的，應從百姓中剷除。 14Keep you my sabbath: for it is holy unto you: he that shall profane it, shall be put to death: he that shall do my work in it, his soul shall perish out of the midst of his people.
15六日中可以工作，但第七日應完全安息，因為是獻於上主的聖日；凡在安息日工作的，應受死刑。 15Six days shall you do work: in the seventh day is the sabbath, the rest holy to the Lord. Every one that shall do any work on this day, shall die.
16以色列子民要守安息日，世世代代要過安息日，作為永遠的盟約。 16Let the children of Israel keep the sabbath, and celebrate it in their generations. It is an everlasting covenant
17這是我與以色列子民之間的永遠記號，因為上主六天造了天地，第七天停工休息。」 17Between me and the children of Israel, and a perpetual sign. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and in the seventh he ceased from work.
18上主在西乃山上向梅瑟說完了話，交給他兩塊約版，即天主用手指所寫的石版。 18And the Lord, when he had ended these words in mount Sinai, gave to Moses two stone tables of testimony, written with the finger of God.

「贝匝肋耳」按编上2:18-20，原属加肋布家族。日後此家族与犹大支派合并，故此处说他是犹大支派。技艺和智慧，以色列人以为是天主的恩惠（德38:1-8等）。
